Recruiting record book, 1862-1865.

Volume contains separate tender listings for 100-day, 3-month, 3-month, or 1-year service which include tender date; name and residence of each individual making tender; manner of making tender (i.e., wants to raise a regiment; has 18 men); authorized recruitment date showing rendezvous point; recruitment authorization remarks; and number of enrollment blanks issued or returned. Record book also contains lists of second lieutenants and agents authorized to recruit under War Dept. General Order No. 75. Recruiter entries include include date authorized to recruit; recruiter's name and town and county assigned to recruit in; and time allowed for organizing (given for second lieutenants only).
